I left my 6 figure business to become a

worship leader & missionary

For the past year, I have worked on A Worthy Treasure. I’ve been dreaming with the Lord, praying to help people build their desire for deep daily devotion for Jesus. He has finally brought me to this place to be able to share my faith journey. Worship always was a part of my life, but for many years I kept my faith in one hand and my career in another.

For 13 years I photographed beautiful weddings all over Southern California. I loved my career and loved all the people that crossed my path because of photography through the years. But at the start of 2021, I heard the Lord say, “Tif, I need you. I need you to share your faith story to help others know about My LOVE for them.”  Immediately I wanted to grow their affections for Jesus.

It wasn’t an easy decision for me to take the leap from being a successful entrepreneur to an unemployed missionary/worship leader this past year. But I can say that the Lord has carried me through such an amazing season of finding a deeper love in Jesus….

Believing in the great commission

A Worthy Treasure

The vision behind this ministry is all about helping believers, no matter where you are in their walk, grow in your passion and devotion for Jesus. The GREAT COMMISSION in Matthew 28:16-20 is one of Jesus most powerful commandments. We are all called to share the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS and PRAY!

This ministry is about helping others understand the JOY of the calling.

If you’re not a christian, my hope is that these stories are inspiring and make you want to know more about who Jesus is for your life.

This is my testimony

Typical Christian to Missionary

ready for more?

I am and have always been that typical Christian girl. I grew up in the church, attended VBS events, summer camps, even did the Christian clubs at schools. I was that girl. Growing up in the church (and being educated in the church), was both beautiful and challenging. The memories with my childhood friends were so sweet because there was so much Jesus in our friendships.

My FAITH STORY begins at one of my favorite memories. I was at Winter Camp, 1999. I vividly remember giving my life to Jesus in front of a campfire, the last night of camp. There was a Spirit moment during our worship around a camp fire, then our youth pastor shared his testimony of how God spared his life after falling off a cliff, at a location not too far from where we were. Then, we had a moment of reflection, when our lives end, when we meet our maker, will God know us? Will we have given our lives to Him, and will He embrace us in His kingdom? That was the moment that it clicked for me. We had the opportunity to write our most shameful sins on a piece of paper and nail it to a cross. So, I did. I didn’t hold back. I let Jesus in. It was that moment when I realized that I didn’t have to be perfect or hold it together for Jesus. He just wanted to love me. He wanted to embrace every part of my heart.

I remember letting Jesus into the places of sin, hurt, and shame. That was the night that Jesus’s love became tangible in my heart.

I remember being set ablaze. There was this hunger and excitement to know more about this amazing Jesus that I had encountered at camp. I remember the rest of the summer being dedicated to singing worship songs, and reading my bible, discovering God in new ways.

I feel like every part of my life, Jesus is holding out His hand to me asking, “Are you ready for more?”. And every time, I reach out my hand and say, “Yes!”. God keeps honoring my “Yes”. He keeps leading me farther down the path of devotion.

Why being a worshiper made it easy for me to say YES!

Meet My Family

We are a small family of 3, but love our little tribe. My husband Dan is a pastor at our home church, Coast Christian Fellowship in Torrance. We have a daughter named Bethel and two dogs (Jackson & Mildred) that are the life of the family. Our daughter Bethel is a little artist. She loves to create, paint, color, draw, sculpt, and dance.  She’s a beautiful creative and we can’t wait to see what passions she grows into.  We love our little home in Torrance, California. We’ve been here for about three years now, and honestly it’s been a dream. When we bought our home in 2019, we stripped it to the studs and with the help of my father, made it our dream home. It’s been fun to live in a Victorian inspired garden cottage! There is a lot more DIY to do, but it’s been a fun process. (I will be sharing a blog post about this soon! So, keep checking in!) Our home is centered around music and worship. When we remodeled our house we decided not to make the television the focus, but in its stead we put a piano, guitars, and instruments all over the place and have an open house ready for music & worship. So if you ever get a chance to visit you’ll come to a Victorian home that’s filled with music, creativity and a beautiful mess. When it comes to ministry, we do our best to minister as a family. When it’s time for worship, we do it together. When it’s time to go out on missions, we do it together. When we pray for others, we do it together. And finally, when we study scripture, we do it together. We do our best to cherish our time together as a family, especially since we are such a tight unit with only the 3 of us.
