Timeless portraits, forever moments

Alysha Miller – Walking toward purity : Podcast Episode 2

Alysha Miller is a wedding and family photographer based in Southern California. She is also a the host of a podcast called “The Marriage Project”.  We are so lucky to have her on this podcast to share her testimony and her book “His: A single girl’s Journey to Discovering God’s Heart on Love, Marriage, and Identity.”

In this episode, Alysha opens up about her faith journey about her transformation from being a party girl into being a faithful daughter of Jesus. Her story is a powerful one for young girls (and women of all ages) who feel like walking in purity is a huge challenge. In her story, she shares of the emptiness that came with seeking affection and identity in relationships with men and the beauty of how God captured her heart. For those of you who are struggling to feel valued, know that you are not alone of you who fight every day to be pure and chase after the Lord, you are not alone!  I am personally moved by the strength that Alysha has in her heart to pursue God with such passion.

Honestly, I’m, personally, so grateful that Alysha sat with me for my first interview on A Worthy Treasure’s Podcast. She was such a light and joy to talk about such a weighty subject! As you listen to her, I hope that you fall in love with the reasons why she shifted her whole mindset of what affection toward Jesus looks like.

I loved seeing her passion for Jesus and her passion to see others grow in their faith’s with Jesus as well.

Elise Takashima – From Pastor’s kid to Missionary : Podcast Episode 3

In this episode, we interview Elise Takashima. She is a missionary who grew up in Los Angeles, but called to full-time missions in Australia. She talks about the call of the Great Commission, the ups and downs of being a full-time missionary, and what it looks like to be fully surrendered to Jesus. I loved chatting with her because her fervor for Jesus is so vibrant and can’t help but get you excited to know the person of Jesus.

My sister, Ellie, and I had started our wedding photography business waaaay back in 2008, soon after my wedding to my husband Dan. We loved being a part of weddings. There were so many pretty details and happy people that we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in….

The Secret Place, Revival in the heart

I’ve always dreamed with God. I’ve dreamed of masses of people coming to the foot of the cross, being saved and healed. But being in ministry for much of my life, I feel like that dream still hasn’t come. I’ve had glimpses of it, but I’m just waiting on the Lord for those moments. So, what does revival really look like, then? Does it look like a concert, or one highlight reel of people encountering God. It does look like that, but it’s so much deeper….
