Elise Takashima – From Pastor’s kid to Missionary : Podcast Episode 3

Elise Takashima is a full time missionary based in Sydney Australia. What’s cool about knowing this amazing woman of God, is that she began her journey in knowing and trusting God, right at the doorstep of where we live. Her faith journey began at Coast Christian Fellowship. From the beginning, growing up as a pastor’s kid, she tells her story of encountering God and following Jesus to today.

In this episode, she talks about the call of the Great Commission, the ups and downs of being a full-time missionary, and what it looks like to be fully surrendered to Jesus. I loved chatting with her because her fervor for Jesus is so vibrant and can’t help but get you excited to know the person of Jesus.

For those of you who are wondering what it’s like to be a full-time missionary, Elise is the real-deal. There is no question about her heart to see people connected with heart of God and excited to see revival in Sydney!

I am so excited and honored to have interviewed Elise for the second episode of A Worthy Treasure’s Podcast. She is a perfect example of sharing the testimony of what God is doing today.  My hope is that you will be inspired to start your own journey toward being a local missionary, because the great commission isn’t only about going over seas, it starts exactly where you are.

There has never been a greater time than now to be bold in your faith and share the TRUTH OF JESUS to the people around you.

The Secret Place, Revival in the heart

So, what does revival really look like, then? Does it look like a concert, or one highlight reel of people encountering God. It does look like that, but it’s so much deeper….
